Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your data as follows:
Free Users: Data is retained for 30 days after trial expiration or uninstallation.
Paying Customers: Data is retained for 30 days post-contract termination, unless you request earlier deletion.
We may retain some data longer if required for legal, accounting, or billing purposes.
Upon uninstallation, all store-related data, including customer data and product files, is automatically deleted. We do not store your Shopify login credentials.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to host and maintain our app:
DigitalOcean: The app and associated data are hosted on DigitalOcean servers.
Shopify: Your store data is shared with us through Shopify’s API. We comply with Shopify’s data-sharing policies.
We do not sell your data to third parties. Any data sharing that occurs is strictly for the functionality of the service.
Security
We take commercially reasonable measures to secure your personal information. While we use industry-standard practices to protect your data, no method of internet transmission or storage is 100% secure. By using our service, you acknowledge that we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we continuously monitor and update our security practices to mitigate risks.
Fair Use Policy on Bandwidth
Our BIG Digital Download app offers different plans, each with a specified storage limit and bandwidth allocation. The ULTRA plan, for instance, provides 1,000GB of bandwidth per month. You can monitor your bandwidth consumption in real time through your App Dashboard, accessible via this link, replacing "NAMEOFTHESTORE" with your store's actual name.
Overage Fees: If you exceed the bandwidth limit on any plan, a fee of $0.023 per additional GB will be charged.
Exceeding the bandwidth allocation could reclassify your account from a standard digital product distributor to a high-traffic data transfer site, which goes beyond the scope of our intended service. We apologize for this inconvenience, but our infrastructure and legal framework are not designed to handle such high levels of bandwidth usage. In such cases, we may temporarily limit your ability to upload or distribute additional products until bandwidth usage returns to acceptable levels.
